Our Story

Welcome! My name is Ashley Varouhas and I am the founder of Nest Learning Academy.

I have worked in the field of early childhood education for over a decade as both a teacher and school administrator. I quickly realized that all children thrive when they are in a setting that is designed to meet their individual needs, thus Nest Learning Academy was born! 

A little bit about me! I started my career working in early childhood education as a preschool teacher before finishing college. I graduated with my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education and worked in both public and private schools teaching Kindergarten-Fifth grade. I soon moved on to administrative roles and became Head of School for a local elementary program. After a few years I realized that my heart was still in early childhood education and I began working as a Center Director for a Fortune 500 company. During this time I saw an immediate need for more support at this age, and was inspired to go back to school to receive my M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction and an M.Ed in Behavior Analysis. The combination of my graduate degrees allows me to better assist and work one on one with students, and also allows me to create amazing trainings for our staff on child development, behavior, and so much more!
